I am searching for a supplier of Natural Fibre (Jute, Hemp, Flax. Kenaf etc) Rovings for Filament Winding.
The requirements I am looking for in the natural fibre rovings are as follows:
MUST be supplied in the form of a continuous 'tow' in order to be filament wound
Ability to adhere to the resin. Fibres with a 'sizing' or 'finish' on them that is designed to improve adhesion.
Consistency in the quality and amount of fibre (TEX value)coming off the spool. What is the'TEX' weight (ie. the weight of a 1000 metre length of fibre, in grams. Require in range of 1000-5000 g/km.
Tensile strength - higher is better
Preferably wound on an external spool, but we can also use 'centre pull' spools
Please can you let me know what natural fibre types you have and what are their specifications and approximate costs.
