The speed of electric bicycles in Europe is too low for most people. To allow for a speed of maximum 45 km/h the electric bicycle has to be registered as a moped. We will do the European approval. For this approval we need one bicycle. We are looking for the best quality for the best price.
Legal Requirements:
- speed max. 45 km/h
- strong and good quality
- very good brakes (at least one disc brake)
- front light, rear light and stop light
- rear reflector and side reflectors on the wheels
- mudguards
- horn
The full technical details can be given on request.
Other Requirements:
- low weight high speed motor with high efficiency
- lithium or LiFePO4 battery
- regenerative braking
- low energy lights (LED?)
- strong and light components (mountainbike?)
- at least front suspension
- largest gear 52 x 13 or equivalent to allow pedaling at 45 km/h
- low total weight (less than 30 kg battery included, best less than 25 kg)
