SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Canned tomato paste – direct packing, concentration 28/30% min
Tomato paste to be free from chemical preservation and
sully materials and to be of natural colour
Tomato paste to be free from insects and pathogenic microbes and micro organisms which may cause food spoilage
Radio active elements as follows
· Ceasium 134-13-30 Biquerel
· Americium 241 NIL
· Plutonium 238 NIL
· Plutonium 239 NIL
· Strontium 90 NIL
Tomato paste to be free from bitter or burned taste
Tomato paste to be free from poisonous compounds, minerals and any other toxic substance
Added salt, if any 2% max.
PH value 4.5 max.
Acidity 10% max.( citric acid on dry basis )
Howard mould content 60 max.
Colour A/B minimum 2.10 per Gardner system at 12.5 brix standard style
Total lactic acid max. 2gr per kg on paste
Sugar co-efficient minimum 42%
Volatile acidity max. 0.40% of dry substance
Paste should not exceed 90% of tin capacity
Tomato paste preserved by thermal process in tightly double seamed cans of electrolytic tinplate manufactured with the Soudronic process. Inside coating with white lacquering 11-14 FRAM per sq mtr- dry ( epoxy ), hygienically fit for foodstuffs preservation.
Packing required: Bulk 800g x 12 cans (approx 1900 cases to 01 20'FCL)
